Lala Mardi Gras Presents: One Hundred Years of Music, Backwards!
Beginning at 8p est, our musical performances will be taking you on an odyssey through one hundred years of music, beginning with this current decade of the 2020s!Music is timeless and healing. This musical journey is intended to bring some of the most iconic and wonderful songs from the past one hundred years to Eorzea, all contained within a single event. Each hour will include a carefully curated selection of songs from one or two decades, going sequentially backward in time, finishing with the 1930s and 1920s. We can't wait to hear what our musicians have prepared for you, and hope you enjoy!

Kingcake
King Cake is a Mardi Gras tradition! Whoever finds the "tiny toy baby" in their cake is the King of the party. Hosted by Brew 62.
- The host would chooses a number between 1 and 100
- Takes place in party chat
- Player pays 10k gil to play, and they can play as many times as they'd like until they win
- The player would /dice 100 with the host in party chat for as any entries as they have purchased (e.g. 10k is one roll and 100k is 10 rolls)
- If they win by rolling a 62, they have "found the tiny toy baby" and win 1M gil
- The winner, in the tradition of Kingcake, would need to then go over to the Bourbon Street Jazz Lounge at Plot 45, go up to the bartender there and send them a /tell that they are buying everyone inside the lounge a drink.Location: Plot 49

Hosted by the Gobbie Factory. Takes place in party chat. /dice 20 against the lala host. If you win, you win a prize and the lala is "dunked" into the water!Location: Plot 49
Chugga Chugga
Hosted by Gobbie Factory. Reverse deathroll. Takes place in party chat. Host verses player. Host and player will /dice and roll against their own previous number, all the way to 1. Whoever reaches 1 first, wins! Players who defeat the host win a prize.Location: Plot 49

Our Vanilla category will be hosted at plot 49. Please talk to one of our representatives and be ready at 11pm EST for judging.Our Modded category will be hosted in the Shadowfell discord. The Lala Mardi Gras Parade by Anklebiters
Join the Anklebiters Lala Community for the Lala Mardi Gras opening parade from 630p-8p est! They'll be marching from Gridania to Goblet. Once they reach Ward 17, their parade floats (big mounts) will be stopping at various plots within the subdivision to trade items to people waiting at these plots, simulating the Mardi Gras vibe of tossing beads and other items to the crowd!The Parade will conclude at Plot 48 so everyone can continue to party for the rest of the night!

What is mardi gras?
Mardi Gras, AKA “Fat Tuesday”, is a Louisiana holiday which centers around one last party before cultures in the area fast on Wednesday. It’s a giant street party where the dress code is “whatever sparkles,” and the goal is to catch as many beads as humanly possible. It’s a chaotic mix of loud music, colorful fits, parades and good eats! King cake is the official fuel, and if you find the tiny baby inside, congrats, you’re now legally responsible for the next party. Expect to shamelessly day drink, lose your voice yelling “Throw me something, mister!” and question all your life choices the next morning. It’s tradition, it’s madness, and it’s the one time a year when everything is better in purple, green, and gold. Founders of this idea
This idea originated back in early 2024 with five friends: Melly Bean from Coyote Coffee, Xenith Pi from King Kupo, Nyah Nyah from Whisky Business, Rama from Brew62, and Doc Laladay from the Huckleberry Saloon.They aimed to capture the Mardi Gras spirit, share it with the community, and create fond memories for all attendees. The Idea lives on now through the Lala Mardi Gras, bringing back old and new faces for another year of Mardi Gras traditions!
